Synopsis
A brilliant swordsman-poet with an enormous nose secretly loves the beautiful Roxane but believes himself too ugly to be loved, so he helps his handsome but tongue-tied friend Christian win her heart by writing ionate love letters in his name, leading to tragic consequences when war separates the lovers and only death can finally reveal the truth.
